Patch tests are an easy way to help predict if you will have a negative initial reaction to a new product. It is recommended to perform a patch test before incorporating a new product into your routine. 

Patch testing prior to use is advised. Apply the product as directed to a small area once a day for three days to test if you are sensitive to this product. If you develop severe irritation, hives, swelling of the eyes and mouth, blistering or difficulty breathing, rinse off, cease use and consult a physician right away.

We have outlined a general method for conducting your own patch test prior to use:

1. Apply a small amount of the product onto a clean area of skin on your hand or upper forearm.
2. Keep the area dry.
3. After 24 hours rinse the area.
4. If any redness, burning, itching, blistering or irritation is observed at any time throughout the test, do not use the product.

PLEASE NOTE- the patch test is only for determining initial irritation reactions to products and does not guarantee similar results when applied to other areas of the body (including the face) or after continuous use. It does not account for underlying conditions and should not be used for the diagnosis of hypersensitivity or allergic contact dermatitis. If you are concerned about starting a new product, please consult a dermatologist prior to use.

At Madly Rooted Botanicals, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We accept returns on approved cases within 30 days of receipt. To be eligible for a return, items must be unused (unbroken seal), in the same condition that you received them, and in their original packaging.

To initiate a return, contact our customer service team at support@shopmadlyrooted.com. In the email, please list subject as "RETURN", and in the subject field provide us with your name, order number, and the reason for your return. We will provide you with instructions on how to proceed.

PLEASE NOTE: RETURN SHIPPING COSTS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER UNLESS THE RETURN IS DUE TO A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT OR AN ERROR ON OUR PART.

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within a certain amount of days.

We currently offer shipping exclusively within the United States. Our standard shipping time is approximately 5 business days, depending on your location. We aim to process and ship out your order as quickly as possible, typically within 24 hours on weekdays. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed on Monday.
